Lockdown has seen a huge rise in the number of people cooking from scratch. In fact some ingredients for comfort home baking can still be difficult to come by. 

But does what you eat make a difference to your mental health? Can eating less sugar and fat and more fruit and vegetables do more than improve your physical wellbeing?

There is certainly growing evidence that being aware of what you eat can make a difference. The link between food and mood has recently been explored by BBC Radio 4's Food Programme (you can catch up here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000l1wp).
