CAPITAL is recruiting a new independent finance officer and coordinators in the north and west of West Sussex.

About the roles

Independent finance officer

This is a self-employed role, overseeing the financial running of the charity.
Part time: Approximately 5-15 hours a week.
Rate: Negotiable 

​The role works closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees, to ensure the Charity’s statutory legal requirements are maintained. The role helps to support the business planning, decision making and finance control as well as ensuring effective day to day management of income and finance.

The role maintains accounting records and related financial information necessary for the compilation of the draft annual accounts

Coordinator roles

CAPITAL is looking for Coordinators to arrange community meetings and support small peer teams in the west (Bognor Regis, Chichester, Midhurst) and the north (Horsham, Crawley, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and East Grinstead) of West Sussex.

​It has either two part-time roles each covering one of the areas, or one full-time role covering both areas.

The successful applicant will be someone who:

  • Has lived experience of mental health issues / receives services
  • Has experience running meetings and facilitating groups
  • Has ability to manage a small team
  • Has great engagement skills and can connect with others easily
  • Understands our values
